Microbial remediation of triphenylmethane dyes contaminated wastewater: A review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Extensive dependence of textile and other industries on the synthetic dyes have made these chemicals a necessary evil nowadays. Among all classes dyes, triphenylmethane (TPMs) are most common unfortunately hazardous. The wastewater originated from various is usually found to contain major portion TPMs along-with inorganic organic contaminant which lead serious environmental consequences. In this regard, microbial remediation such seems be very robust, cost effective environment friendly strategy. Microbial exploits enzymatic capabilities microorganisms (bacteria, fungi or microalgae) cope with recalcitrant chemicals. can occur either by phenomenon adsorption onto systems through degradation metabolic mechanisms microbe under optimized conditions. Both two ways convert toxic harmless products. Biodegradation bioremediation pollutants achieved living organisms as plants algae. But current review only focuses microbes bacteria, yeast fungi. factors pH, temperature, inoculum size, dye concentration etc. profound effect optimization TPMs, never neglected hence they discussed in detail present study. way we claim that article will provide deep insights into consequences related toxicants being added our environment. Further, an emphasis implementation get rid waters would helpful enhance interest researchers scientists already working same theme.

Remediation of synthetic dyes from wastewater using yeast—An overview

Synthetic dyes released by various industries pose a real concern to the environmental safety. Existing physico-chemical methods of dye removal from effluents suffer from severe constraints like low efficiency, high operational cost and large amount of sludge generation. Over the last two decades, considerable work has been done with the goal of using microorganisms as bioremediation agents in ...

Aptamers switch on fluorescence of triphenylmethane dyes.

MG and SRB aptamers, which are short RNA sequences originally selected only for binding to malachite green or sulforhodamine B, can greatly enhance the fluorescence of normally nonfluorescent triphenylmethane dyes. MG aptamer enhances the quantum yields of malachite green (MG) and a novel rigidized derivative, indolinyl malachite green (IMG) by >2000-fold. SRB aptamer brightens patent blue V an...

Removal of Triphenylmethane Dyes by Bacterial Consortium

A new consortium of four bacterial isolates (Agrobacterium radiobacter; Bacillus spp.; Sphingomonas paucimobilis, and Aeromonas hydrophila)-(CM-4) was used to degrade and to decolorize triphenylmethane dyes. All bacteria were isolated from activated sludge extracted from a wastewater treatment station of a dyeing industry plant. Individual bacterial isolates exhibited a remarkable color-removal...

Sustainable remediation: electrochemically assisted microbial dechlorination of tetrachloroethene-contaminated groundwater

Microbial electric systems (MESs) hold significant promise for the sustainable remediation of chlorinated solvents such as tetrachlorethene (perchloroethylene, PCE). Although the bio-electrochemical potential of some specific bacterial species such as Dehalcoccoides and Geobacteraceae have been exploited, this ability in other undefined microorganisms has not been extensively assessed. Hence, t...
